LG Arena KM900
When Online buy “” Apple introduced iPhone back in 2007, many phone makers were stunned by how Apple managed to make a touch screen phone that was so flawless in its UI design. It was a lesson for phone makers around the world. Ever since then, many touch screen phones were spawned, each trying to steal touch-screen-phone market over iPhone.

LG Arena KM900 is the latest incarnation of touch screen phone from LG. From the first look, a trimmed down version of the Arena KM900 would make it 70% like iPhone. But feature wise, it would be kinda different from it. Some of its features include capacitive-type touch panel, 3inch 800×480 LCD display, 5MP camera and a 3.5mm audio jack. As for connection, it has wireless LAN, HSPDA and GPS. All were pretty standard for today’s phone, so there is not much complain over here.
The first thing that you notice when you boot up this phone, is a nice little 3D cube at the center of the screen which LG calls it the S-Class interface. Move the cube horizontally (with your finger of course) will lead you to multimedia, shortcut, contacts and widgets pages. To bring it to full screen, just tap it. The cube animation is quite impressive honestly. Another thing you will find similar to iPhone it its picture browser. Think of it(the iPhone cover flow) with only 3 pictures, the main one in the middle and each in the left and right.
Performance wise, this phone equipped with a 1000mAh battery. Under normal usage with only messaging and calls, expect it to last 2 days. You will need to charge it daily if more multimedia functions were used frequently. For the price of RM1,800(USD514), this phone offers a great value for its features. And its intuitive S-Class interface (which matches iPhone’s from my opinion) is a big plus.
