It’s never been that hassle free when you change your phone. Transferring contacts especially is a troublesome process if you have a big number of contact number in your list where your SIM card is not able to store all of it. One of the advantage of Android smartphone is the ability to read vcf vCard files. By doing so, you can send your contacts from your older phone to your new Android phone on the fly, usually by multi-selecting the contacts and choose ‘Send Contact’ or by exporting to VCF file using “” Professional the phone’s PC Suite software. Though there are
some many cases where older feature/symbian phones from Nokia/Sony Ericsson/Samsung/LG having Bluetooth object push incompatibility with Android phones. If you’re happened to fall into this category or if you just wish to look for a super easy way to transfer your contacts from older phone to your new Android phone, just read on.
Basically most newer HTC Android phones like the Desire HD have this app called “Transfer Data”. It is an app where it lets you do bluetooth “” buy online contacts syncing with ease. The video below pretty much explains all.
So what if your Android phone doesn’t have this awesome Bluetooth contact syncing tool? Well, I was able to extract this app out from one of the custom Android Sense ROM and uploaded here for your convenience. How to install the Android app? Two ways; first is the easier way by visiting this site here with your Android phone, click the download link and download the *APK file or you can just download it to your PC and transfer to your SD card where you can install by just executing the TransferData.apk file, OR download it to your computer and install via the ADB command “adb install TransferData.apk(the location of your file)” which is sort of advanced method, not recommended for general users.
What’s next? Just follow like what you saw in the video above. All in all, TransferData makes transfer contact from phone to phone much easier, all was needed to be done is to do bluetooth pairing between phones and basically thats it.
*APK – it is the file extension for Android app.

How to Bluetooth sync and transfer contacts from older phones to Android phones? This tool/app solved the problem that plagued mobile phone users all these years. Just a note, it doesn’t work on iPhone as no other phones can communicate with iPhone Bluetooth protocol other than iPhones itself. 😉
