Samsung Galaxy S4 early rumoured hardware specifications

No, this is not the Samsung Galaxy S4 of course.

It’s just 4months plus since the launch of Samsung Galaxy s3 with the funny lame tagline “Designed for humans”, now we got some hints of what to be expected for Galaxy S4. Do note that these are early speculations based on information derived from an unnamed Samsung executives.

Samsung planned to reveal the new Galaxy high end phone as early as February 2013 during the Mobile World Congress 2013. This is what they did for Galaxy S2 in the year 2010. However Samsung did something different for this year’s Galaxy S3. They remained very tight-lipped and it wasn’t till May that we got a taste of the 3rd generation of Galaxy from Samsung.

From the sources, it was hinted to be build with a curved display but this remains to be seen as Samsung display is facing production issues. It is also hinted to be bumped up from the current 4.8inch to 5.0inch screen size. That’s very awkward I would say as 4.8inch is the sweet spot for smartphone display, anything from 5inch onwards will be classified as phablet.

OK here’s the fun part, this will be my very own speculation of what to be expected for next year’s Samsung Galaxy S4 hardware specifications:

  • Exynos 5 SoC; featuring completely new CPU architecture. Expect a 2-4 times of the CPU processing power of Galaxy S3.
  • ARM Mali-T604 GPU core; this new graphics core will trash your Galaxy S3 graphics. Expect 200-300% of improvements over Galaxy S3 graphics core Mali-400.
  • 2GB RAM; Memory is an issue for power users using the Galaxy S3, the 1GB in the international variant of Galaxy S3 is choking the phone badly when you multitask few resource heavy apps┬ásimultaneously.
  • Curved display; it will make S4 an instant hit if Samsung is able to make one.
  • 13MP rear camera; definitely no brainer,
  • Kevlar casing; this is highly speculative, I really hope Samsung build one with it as it will make it one of the toughest phone available.
  • Android 4.2/ Android 5.0 a.k.a Key Lime Pie; Given that the nomenclature of Google’s Android next iteration of their mobile OS isn’t yet revealed yet, this will be the name that most tech sites gonna use.

So what’s your view on this specifications for the upcoming Samsung flagship Galaxy S4? Or you have your own speculation of the specifications? Write it all down at the comments section below.

    Galaxy S4 SPECS

    -Exynos 5 Quad 2.0Ghz 20nm w/LTE (NEW, avl.)
-Mali T658 8 Core GPU (NEW, avl.)
    -2GB LPDDR3 RAM (NEW, avl.)
    -4.8″ 1080p SAMOLED+/FLEXOLED+ High PPI
    -32GB,64GB,128GB Int. High Speed Memory.
-13MP Camera module (available) with OVER 60FPS.
-8MP Front facing camera with recording up to 60fps for real time face calling that looks really good. (data speeds are only getting faster in US, let’s take advantage. I’m on Sprint, #Unlimited ! lol)
-3000+mAh battery. A new battery would be perfect.
-Waterproofing is available and should be used to protect next generation mobile powerhouses, and BUILDS VALUE.
    -No Middle button
    -Doesn’t have to be thinner
-Shorter than the GS3. (It’s possible)
    -Same width (Still possible)
-Flush push-resist power and volume up/down buttons.
-4 Double function semi hidden capacitive buttons (like GS3, but it has two and the dumb middle button). Press + Long Press features gives you eight total ways to navigate your phone through the use of 4 Capacitive buttons.
-NOT MADE OF METAL. Metal scrapes and cuts worse, pick something else. Carbon or better plastic. Metal can heat up, these silly bastards.. GEEZ! WHY!!!

-TouchWiz has to be present. Think about it

ITS SAMSUNG’s BRAND. GOOGLE IS BUYING MOBILITY TO PROVIDE ANDROID ONLY PHONES, so making an option to remove touchwiz for the ASOP guys who wish to use Android on Samsung hardware would be a good idea… lol breath!

Then there should also be the option to choose boot sequence on top of Manufacturer and Wireless Carrier boot sequences by including any video you choose to start up while the phone boots. This would be auto format and preview modes would help you decide how you want it.

Guys, DEVELOPER SUPPORT HAS TO BE HIGH WITHING SAMSUNG OR ELSE GOOGLE WONT FIND SAMSUNG USEFUL. SAMSUNG NEEDS TO WORK WITH GOOGLE AND PARTNER UP WITH MOBILITY TO KEEP ANDROID OPEN and COMPETITIVE, fighting leads to war, war leads to casualties, and the casualties are the customers and workers of today. #MOVEON

    crazy ideas?

    - Solad charging pods that could charge extra batteries on the go with gorilla glass protection?
    - Solar/regular light charging backplate?
    - The option to lock apps, files, settings, and even the main OS from being accessed by an unauthorized user. Voice recognition, fingerprint analysis, and even a eye retina scanner.!! This way we are all literally authenticatted on our devices. Everyone know’s it’s really me type stuff, banks, contacts, vehicles. ETC. If anyone tells you that you don’t need your phone, try calling someone when you are in trouble, need assistance but you don’t have one. Our personal devices are already helping us live our lives easier. People say lazy, I say convenient.

So much more to say! lol
